The solid brass bud vase
Vase composed of a brass base and a glass test tube that can be used in both directions: upside down to create a herbarium by inserting a few dried flower stems; right side up to put water in the tube to hold some fresh flowers. Discreet and versatile, this vase is a decorative object appreciated on a desk, shelf, or bookcase, in any season.
Each brass piece is meticulously crafted by skilled artisans in Japan. The surface has been treated to make scratches and fingerprints less visible. However, there is no transparent coating in order to appreciate the patina of time, use, and environment. Oil and air will naturally darken this piece and make it shinier. This is part of its natural beauty.
If brass pieces are exposed to water or moisture for long periods, the metal may change color more quickly or become stained.
Thus, each piece passes through the years without deteriorating but rather evolves and develops a patina through use.
