Toyo Steel has been making high-quality metal toolboxes since 1969 at its factory in Osaka, following core values set by its founder, Keiyu Hisashi: using strong and lasting metal and a manufacturing process without welds. These two qualities combined ensure Toyo Steel toolboxes are durable and practical.

COMBINING FORM AND FUNCTION

The original manufacturing method of Toyo Steel toolboxes, by embossing an aluminium sheet with a hydraulic press, is the source of the clean style that makes them so easily recognizable. Every detail is carefully considered, and this weld-free production in a light yet sturdy metal allows for rounded corners to prevent injuries, as well as stacking the boxes on top of each other for easier storage. The boxes are enamelled to protect them from rust.

A PRACTICAL ITEM TURNED ICON

Once reserved for the workshop, Toyo Steel toolboxes have found their place in every room of the house to efficiently store many items. Their unique design earned them a place in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and they received the Good Design Award in 2009.
