WOODEN BOX - BUTTER DISH

“KITO” is a series of wooden products made so that you can spend your daily life with trees. Literally, "ki to" (木と) means "with the tree." We believe that the comfort that only solid wood can bring is essential for a peaceful life.

This butter dish is designed to fit different sizes of butter. Japanese cherry wood has a soft color with a slight red tint and a smooth texture. It is easy to insert a butter knife between the butter and the case, and there is no resistance when opening and closing the lid. There is no problem even if you put the whole thing in the refrigerator.

AIZAWA WOOD WORK

The beauty of wood

It takes about 100 years for a tree to reach a size suitable for making plates and trays. We use the precision and speed of machines to carve wood from the mountains without waste, without producing any scrap.

A delicate hand polishing creates a high-quality feel. The 100 years of power trapped in the solid wood have been carved to be used for more than 100 years. We value trees and choose ways to live our lives so as to pass on the rich mountain forests to future generations.

Mountain ranges create ridges and valleys, and water flows through them, creating many streams. The streams grow plants, nourish trees, and form forests. Many streams have nourished forests, and we would like to continue offering the comfort of trees in people's daily lives by using the trees that have grown in these forests.
