THE PERFECT POUCH MADE IN JAPAN FOR YOUR PRECIOUS PENS
After a decade spent traveling the world in search of exceptional pens, we decided to design the ideal pouch to carry your favorite writing instruments wherever you go.
Entirely made in Japan in partnership with Anything Co, a company renowned for producing maekake, a traditional Japanese work garment used for over 200 years, this pouch reflects a blend of heritage and functionality. Maekake aprons, tied around the waist, have long supported Japanese workers, offering both utility and back support. Anything Co still weaves its richly textured indigo fabric on looms over a century old.
For this pouch, we chose the thickest maekake fabric, ensuring durability and a beautiful texture. We also incorporated the iconic maekake belt, cleverly repurposed to secure your pens inside the pouch, making it both practical and deeply rooted in tradition.

THE STORY OF ANYTHING CO BY ITS FOUNDER KAZUHIRO NISHIMURA
Weaving the future from the wisdom of past generations.
Founded in 2000 by entrepreneur Kazuhiro Nishimura, Anything co has been making MAEKAKE since 2004. The company still uses the traditional production method in Toyohashi, Aichi Prefecture, which is the last and only remaining production site in Japan. It houses nine shuttle looms made over 100 years ago, continuing to produce authentic, high-quality MAEKAKE for Japanese people and residents worldwide.
