HUGE SETOGURO RICE BOWL

The pottery from the Momoyama period is also known as "Hikidashi Kuro" (black drawer) or "Tensho Kuro" (black Tensho) due to the firing method and the period in which they were made. One of its characteristics is its shiny, deep glaze of jet black, so opaque that the color of the base material is not visible.

In order to create a Setoguro tableware that can be widely used on the modern dining table, we used modern blends and glazing techniques rather than the same techniques as in the past to achieve a bright, truly jet black color. Enjoy the contrast between the unique black-on-black tableware and the colorful ingredients.

Rice bowl with a neat shape called a flat shape. It has been popular among the Japanese since ancient times, and when you hold it, the shape of your hand and that of the bowl are very beautiful. Moreover, the presentation looks balanced, regardless of the amount of rice.
