The TN notebooks have existed since 2006. The brand Traveler's Notebook belongs to the company Traveler's Company which was called Midori before 2015. Today the Midori brand still exists, but it is mainly used for MD Paper notebooks and some accessories. How does a travel notebook work?

The beauty of this medium lies in the fact that you choose the components, which allows you to design a custom notebook. Let's look at all the options together.

The cover

It is a piece of flat and thick leather in which holes are punched to receive elastics. That's all you need to know. The more you use your travel notebook, the more the cover will develop a patina. The scratches it accumulates over time make it look like it has traveled a lot, and the cover will adapt to the particular configuration of your notebook as you use it, like a baseball glove adapting to your hand over time. The cover is available in several colors such as black, brown, camel, olive, and blue....

The bands

The elastics are an integral part of the Traveler's Notebook system. There are bands that hold the inserts inside the cover, and another band that allows the notebook to be closed.

Pro tip: when you receive your new travel notebook, it is delivered in a cardboard envelope closed by a band. Keep it! It is a good spare part for the band that keeps the notebook closed.

TRAVELER'S COMPANY also sells thin and oversized rubber bands called "connection bands", which you can use to link the inserts together to add additional components to your notebook.

When you buy your notebook, the default bands are usually the color of the chosen cover, but you can buy a set of bands in different colors and replace them.
