The beautiful texture of phosphor bronze, which has excellent elasticity (an important function of a clip!), is soft and easy to clip on and gently remove. The brass ring is removable.
Each piece is carefully crafted by skilled artisans in Japan. The surface has been treated to make scratches and fingerprints less visible. However, there is no transparent coating in order to appreciate the patina of time, use, and environment. Oil and air will naturally darken this piece and make it shinier. This is part of its natural beauty.
If the pieces are exposed to water or moisture for long periods, the metal may change color more quickly or become stained.
Thus, each piece goes through the years without deteriorating but rather evolves and develops a patina through use.
