Toyo Steel Company Ltd

FOR OVER 50 YEARS

Toyo Steel has been manufacturing high-quality metal toolboxes since 1969 in its Osaka factory, following essential values for its founder, Keiyu Hisashi: the use of robust and durable metal and a seamless manufacturing process. These two combined virtues guarantee Toyo Steel toolboxes durability and functionality.

COMBINING DESIGN AND FUNCTIONALITY

The original manufacturing method of Toyo Steel toolboxes, by embossing an aluminum sheet with a hydraulic press, is the origin of the clean style that makes them so easily recognizable objects. Every detail is considered and this seamless manufacturing in a light and durable metal allows for rounded corners to prevent injuries, but also to stack the boxes on top of each other for easier storage. The boxes are enameled to protect them from corrosion.

A UTILITARIAN OBJECT THAT BECAME ICONIC

Once reserved for the workshop, Toyo Steel toolboxes have found their place in every room of the house to efficiently store the quantity of items. Their unique design has earned them a place in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and they received the Good Design Award in 2009
