Kazuya Koike is a designer graduated from Osaka Design College in Japan. He founded his own design studio in 2012, Doogdesign.
First the name of Lemnos. It was chosen by Hiroshi Takata in reference to the Greek island Lemnos, home of God Hephaistos, God of craftsmen. Lemnos was a brass and metal manufacture before working with Seiko Clock co., ltd. (the well-known clocks and watches SEIKO) in 1966. They supplied the mechanisms and other pieces to Seiko.
In 1988 Lemnos started developing his own products with a unique and original design.
All products are thouroughly made by high skilled craftsmen in Japan. The materials are highlighted to offer innovative and timeless clocks. « A clock not only indicates time, it is a masterpiece of craftsmenship and design. It is not like a fading fashion, it is timeless.» H. Takata.

"Tower-clock" by the Japanese designer Kazuya Koike, edited by Lemnos. The designer imagined this wall clock as the clock tower of a city, looking warmly over the living life and well integrated in the landscape.
