Syuro was, at the beginning, a little shop of daily wares founded in 2000 by Interior designer Masuko Unayama in the Torigoe district in Tokyo. It was an area with many different craftsmen and small family businesses.
This traditional know-how unfortunately stepped down to mass production. That is when Masuko created a place for crafters, to preserve the craftsmanship and keep cultivating these treasuries.
Syuro products are willing to integrate the everyday life, quietly... The pure design, deliberately without fioritura gives a timeless spirit. The object, once old will still be there.
This candle made in Japan by Syuro releases a subtle scent of " hinoki ", the Japanese cypress. The container itself made out of this wood has the design of the "masu", the traditional sake cup. Once the candle is consumed, a beautiful box will remain !
