Toyo Steel has been manufacturing high-quality metal toolboxes since 1969 at its factory in Osaka, adhering to the core values of its founder, Keiyu Hisashi: the use of robust and durable metal and a manufacturing process without welds. These two virtues combined ensure that Toyo Steel toolboxes are durable and functional.
ALLIER DESIGN AND FUNCTIONALITY
The original manufacturing method of Toyo Steel toolboxes, by embossing an aluminum plate with a hydraulic press, is the source of the sleek style that makes them such easily recognizable objects. Every detail is carefully considered, and this seamless construction in a lightweight and durable metal allows for rounded corners to prevent injuries, as well as the ability to stack the boxes on top of each other for easier storage. The boxes are enamel-coated to protect them from corrosion.
A UTILITY OBJECT BECOME CULT
Once reserved for the workshop, Toyo Steel toolboxes have found their place in every room of the house to efficiently store a variety of objects. Their unique design has earned them a spot in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and they received the Good Design Award in 2009.
